Lake Tawakoni Pipeline Survey Services – Dallas Water Utilities
Serving as a major sub-consultant to this Dallas Water Utilities project, DAL-TECH’s was responsible for the preparation of in excess of 300 individual land title surveys for the purpose of property conveyance. These properties were required for the future construction of a 144” diameter raw water transmission main from Lake Tawakoni to Eastside Water Treatment Plant, which spanned more than 30 miles total. While the project length stands as an impressive accomplishment in itself, it is worth noting that DAL-TECH was required to survey every parent tract and adjoiner to insure the most accurate product was attained. This project was made up of rural acreage, residential properties, and properties of public/governmental agency control (Sabine River Authority, State of Texas, City of Dallas, North Texas Municipal Water District), which totaled a survey effort of literally thousands of acres.
In addition to the boundary surveys, DAL-TECH was charged with the preparation of access easements, reconstruction of previous construction control, recovery of Dallas Water Utilities benchmarks, review of title commitments, locating of overhead electrical cables, Texas811 coordination, utility research with local municipal districts, bathymetric surveys of ponds, and providing assistance to City of Dallas Legal Counsel and Real Estate.
Also of significance, DAL-TECH was requested to provide direct coordination with the Texas GLO to confirm ownership of the Trinity River – East Fork riverbed and the preparation of documents required for the permitting of a pipeline crossing of a river under the jurisdiction of the State of Texas.
This underscores the great confidence clients have in DAL-TECH’s notable experience, knowledge and abilities.
